Nairobi residents on Saturday witnessed floods across the city that left major roads and buildings in flood-prone areas damaged. The flooding happens a week after a heavy downpour left several people displaced across the city. The interior Ministry has flagged 37 neighborhoods to be flood-prone areas.
According to the ministry, a mapping exercise carried out under the Nairobi Rivers Regeneration Programme identified 37 neighbourhoods situated along major river corridors and in areas vulnerable to flooding.
